Jeff Hinz, SVP, Director of Digital and Emerging Media
Jeff is a digital native who jumped in, keyboard first, sometime in the 1990s B.G. (before Google). A successful podcaster in his own right, Jeff understands the “what” (search), “where” (mobile), “who” (social media) of digital media, but is still asking the “why”. In his role as chief digital strategist at ID Media, he has proven to accountability-minded clients that he can take online media performance to a new level.
Jeff joined ID Media in May 2002 as Senior Vice President, Director of Client Services for the New York office. Building on his success in digital marketing, in 2009 he was appointed SVP, Director of Digital and Emerging Media. In this role he stewards planning insight, data analytics, media negotiations, and best practices across all offices for search, display, broadband, video, mobile, and interactive television. Among the clients Jeff oversees are Nikon, SC Johnson, Trane, and Cayman Islands.
Prior to joining ID Media, Jeff served for three years as Media Director at K2 Digital, a leading Silicon Alley pioneer, where many of today’s digital media industry solutions were developed. Before joining K2 in 2001, Jeff was Media Director for creative hot shop Angotti, Thomas, Hedge.
Jeff has been honored twice by Mediaweek, having been named to Mediaweek's list of Western Stars in 1994 and winning “Media Plan of the Year” in 1996. His insights about advertising through cutting-edge technology have been featured in a number of publications, including The Wall Street Journal, BrandWeek, DMNews and MediaPost. Jeff graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing and a minor in computer electrical engineering.
